The Role

As a Senior Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, ensuring high-performance software delivery, and driving architectural decisions. You will oversee technical strategy, agile adoption, and best practices, ensuring scalable and resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a development team of ~10 engineers, ensuring motivation, collaboration, and productivity.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to define objectives, manage performance, and foster a strong team culture.
• Oversee SCRUM adoption, ensuring the team follows agile best practices.
• Take full ownership of CI/CD workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient deployments via GitHub workflows and actions.
• Design and implement API-first architectures, leveraging API management platforms.
• Define and maintain microservices architectures, using REST, gRPC, Kafka, and RabbitMQ for communication.
• Manage and optimise NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, Redis), implementing CQRS patterns to ensure performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot high-availability, distributed systems, including HeapDump and ThreadDump analysis.
• Ensure code quality and best practices through rigorous pull request reviews.
• Guide the team in Java frameworks and best development practices.

Required Skills & Experience

✅ Fluent English (mandatory).
✅ Proven experience as a Tech Lead, managing development teams of similar size.
✅ Strong hands-on expertise in Java, microservices architecture, and API-first development.
✅ Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and Agile methodologies.
✅ Deep understanding of resilient architecture patterns (Circuit Breaker, Fallback, etc.).
✅ Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration (Openshift, Kubernetes), including Blue-Green and Canary deployments.
✅ Experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Integration Testing, Traffic Parrot, SonarQube).
✅ Knowledge of reactive programming (Project Reactor) and its challenges.
✅ Experience in observability and monitoring using Grafana and logging systems.
? Bonus skills: Experience with Hexagonal Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
